Educational Observation & Consultation
Supporting children across school, childcare and learning environments.
Empowering children to thrive in their learning environments through collaborative, expert-led school consultations.
Daycare, Kindy & School Consultations
As part of our whole-of-life approach, we arrange dedicated visits to your child's daycare, kindy, or school. Our goal is to support educators and understand how your child functions within their learning environment. By working directly in the classroom, we can provide practical, realistic strategies that enhance your child’s regulation, engagement, and participation in everyday school activities.
Why go off-site?
-
To understand how your child is functioning in the education environment
-
To observe their participation across daily routines
-
To support educators with practical, in-the-moment strategies
-
To trial and refine supports that can be embedded into the classroom
Our focus is on creating strategies that are effective, sustainable, and easy for educators to implement.
How it works
We begin with observation in the natural learning environment, which may include:
-
Classroom activities
-
Group learning
-
Transitions
-
Play and social interactions
This helps us identify:
-
What supports your child’s engagement
-
What may be impacting their regulation or participation
-
How the environment is influencing their performance
A collaborative approach
Following observation, we work alongside educators to:
-
Support Regulation & Engagement: Improve attention and smooth transitions throughout the day.
-
Build Educator Confidence: Share insights and implement achievable strategies that fit daily routines.
-
Ensure Consistency: Reduce overwhelm by aligning support across all school environments.
Test strategies in real time
This may include:
-
Adjusting the environment (e.g. seating, positioning)
-
Introducing sensory or movement strategies
-
Modifying tasks or expectations
-
Supporting routines and transitions
We use a trial-and-refine approach, allowing us to:
-
See what works immediately
-
Adjust strategies in real time
-
Ensure they are practical for the classroom setting
Feedback and recommendations
Following the visit, a report is recommended which includes:

-
Key observations from the school environment
-
Insights into your child’s regulation and engagement
-
Strategies trialled during the visit
-
Recommendations based on what was successful
This provides a clear plan to support ongoing implementation at school.
Working together across all environments ensures your child feels supported, understood, and ready to reach their full potential.
