Early Intervention

Supporting Your Child’s Brightest Start

Our Early Intervention program is designed specifically for infants, toddlers and preschoolers with developmental delays or sensory challenges. We specialize in play-based therapy that builds foundational skills in a warm, neurodiversity-affirming environment where every child can thrive.

What is Early Intervention?

Evidence suggests that infant brains, between birth and three years of age, goes through the most rapid period of development.  Most new connections and pathways are formed within the brain during this time.  Consider the skills that are developed during this period,  children learn to walk, talk, interact with others, problem solve, eat, drink, play, sleep independently. All of these skills are the building blocks for their continued growth and development into the future. By receiving early intervention, ideally before the age of two, your child is able to harness this period of natural brain development. This is the time when your child has the potential to maximise their progress and potential.

In Sync Therapy Hub® adopts a family-centred approach used in early childhood intervention, which will allow you to receive as much support, guidance and education as your child will receive. By better understanding your child’s needs, you will be better able to support your child, to make decision that you will be confident are in your child’s best interests, and to advocate for your child.

Who Can Benefit?

Prematurity & Early Medical Journeys

Infants who have had a complex start to life, particularly those born before 37 weeks (Extremely to Late Preterm).

  • Who it’s for: Babies who have spent time in the NICU or Special Care Nursery, or those with early medical diagnoses.

  • How we help: we focus on "organizing" the immature nervous system and helping babies transition from a hospital environment to a thriving home life. We alongside carersproviding hands-on techniques needed to confidently handle early parenting, from reading subtle baby cues to creating a calming environment that fosters growth.

Developmental & Physical Milestones

Toddlers and children who are not reaching expected physical or functional milestones.

  • Who it’s for: Children with Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Down syndrome, as well as those experiencing "atypical" muscle tone (stiff or floppy) or that struggle with struggle with Dyspraxic difficulties, motor planning, balance, and the coordination needed for play.

  • How we help: We support the "building blocks" of movement, such as rolling, sitting, crawling, and walking. We also focus on fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination needed for early play and self-care.

Sensory, Social & Behavioural Regulation

Children who experience the world more intensely or struggle to find a "calm" state for learning and connection.

  • Who it’s for: Children showing early signs of Autism (ASD), ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, or those with significant challenges in sleep, settling, and emotional regulation.

  • How we help: Using Ayres Sensory Integration®, we help children process environmental input (like noise, touch, and light) more effectively. This leads to better focus, improved social engagement, and more peaceful daily routines for the whole family.

Watching your baby grow is a miracle, but noticing signs of a developmental delay can be overwhelming. Here are some things to look out for:

For Mums & Bubs

Difficulty with rolling over, sitting without support, or delayed crawling. Physical exploration is key to early learning.

For Motor Skills

Unusual quietness, not using gestures like waving, or a lack of response when their name is called by family members.

For Social Skills

Avoidance of eye contact or lack of interest in peek-a-boo. We focus on building meaningful social connections.

For Sensory & Behavioural

Extreme sensitivity to loud noises, clothing textures, or significant challenges when starting on finger foods.
