ASSESSMENTS
WE GATHER INFORMATION.
In this initial assessment session we will discuss your concerns and how occupational therapy will benefit
your child.
The OT assessment includes a one and a half hour, one on one session where clinical observations and standardized tests are conducted. These observations and the completed parent questionnaire will help us determine your child's strengths and weaknesses and areas of concern.

Our Services
At In Sync Therapy Hub®, we partner with families and educators to support children from the early years through to school. We provide a bridge between the clinic, home, and classroom, offering therapy and comprehensive assessments that empower children to thrive in their daily lives.
Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based. We look beyond behaviors to understand the underlying sensory, motor, and emotional factors shaping each child’s experience. Whether a child is navigating ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, or developmental delays, our goal is to build confidence and independence—not to change who they are.

45-50min Face to Face Consultation
Therapy at In Sync is purposeful, play-based, and guided by ongoing clinical reasoning. Every journey is unique, focusing on your child’s specific strengths and functional goals. SESSION DETAILS • Duration: Approximately 45–50 minutes, including 1:1 therapy and family feedback. • Expert Integration: Sessions may combine Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy principles. • Purposeful Play: We use sensory equipment and graded challenges to build skills and confidence. FOCUS AREAS MAY INCLUDE • Sensory processing and emotional regulation. • Postural stability, strength, and gross motor coordination. • Motor planning, body awareness, and balance. • Functional skills for home, school, sport, and the community. A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH We encourage parents to attend sessions to learn practical strategies for home. We also collaborate with educators to ensure consistency across environments (additional fees may apply for school involvement). FREQUENCY & PROGRESS • Initial Momentum: We typically recommend weekly sessions to build strong foundations. • Review & Adjust: As skills improve, we may transition to fortnightly sessions. • Timeline: While many see progress within 3–6 months, complex journeys may span 12–24 months as new developmental stages emerge. OUR GOAL We continually reassess goals to ensure therapy remains responsive. Our ultimate aim is meaningful, sustainable change that builds lifelong confidence and participation.
JOINT OT AND PHYSIO

45- 50 min Face to Face consultation
At In Sync, we pride ourselves on delivering an interdisciplinary model of care. From joint assessment sessions through to collaborative treatment sessions, our Occupational Therapists and Paediatric Physiotherapists work closely together to provide integrated, holistic support. Joint sessions are particularly beneficial for young people with complex needs, or when significant postural control and movement difficulties are impacting success at school, at home, or in the community. ⸻ Why Joint Sessions? Many young people present with overlapping sensory, motor, and postural challenges. For example: •Reduced core strength affecting attention and sitting tolerance •Poor postural stability impacting fine motor skills and handwriting •Sensory processing differences influencing coordination and regulation •Movement difficulties limiting participation in sport or playground activities By combining OT and Physiotherapy expertise within the same session, we can address these challenges simultaneously and cohesively. ⸻ What Happens in a Joint Session? During a joint session, both therapists collaborate in real time to: •Target postural stability and alignment •Support sensory regulation and motor planning •Improve strength, balance, and coordination •Enhance functional skills required for school and daily life Activities are carefully structured to integrate sensory processing, movement quality, and functional participation. For example, a session may include strengthening and postural work guided by the Physiotherapist while the Occupational Therapist incorporates regulation strategies and functional task application. This collaborative approach ensures that therapy is aligned, efficient, and deeply responsive to the young person’s needs. ⸻ The Benefits of an Interdisciplinary Approach Joint sessions can be incredibly rewarding and highly effective. They allow us to: •Share clinical reasoning and perspectives •Deliver consistent messaging and strategies •Accelerate progress through targeted intervention •Provide families with a clear, unified plan For young people with complex presentations, this integrated model often leads to more meaningful and sustainable outcomes. At In Sync, our goal is always to strengthen foundations, enhance participation, and support each young person to feel confident and capable across all environments.

KINDY AND SCHOOL CONSULTATIONS
1hr consultation
At the request of parents or involved services, we are able to arrange a nursery/school consultation. This consultation will aim to provide those working with your child more information on how to optimise their development and capacities within these environments and promote a collaborative approach across environments. These consultations can also be used to attend termly reviews, Individual Education Plans (IEP) and planning meetings to provide further support and collaboration for everyone working with your child.

TELEHEALTH SERVICES
1hr consultation
Telehealth is face-to-face occupational therapy that’s done online over video conferencing. All you need is an internet connection, computer, laptop or iPad and a ‘Zoom’ account (sign up is free!) In Sync Kids have invested in specialised audio/video conferencing equipment and many online programs that are specifically developed to target OT goals online. During all Telehealth appointments, our therapists work closely with parents to provide clear ideas and strategies for everyday use in the home environment. Research shows that parent focused intervention achieves the best results. Telehealth has also been evidenced to deliver the same outcomes and progress as face to face therapies. Call now to discuss how Telehealth can help your child.

HOLIDAY INTENSIVES
1hr consultation
The intensives programme is 11 sessions over a 2 week period. Our team of therapist will create an individualised, playful and fun environment to maintain engagement and match the goals of each child. This is an alternative to completing your 12-sessions therapy block over 12 weeks. The intensity and repetitions of goal specific activities provided in the School Holidays Intensives Therapy Program results in functional gain and retention of new skills during a shorter time period. The program actively supports motor learning and neural plasticity in infants, children and adolescents with sensory processing difficulties and/or neurological disorders

VISION THERAPY
1hr consultation
Undetected by typical vision screenings, many educators and doctors are unaware Functional Vision problems even exist. Vision & Sensory Integration can help correct Functional Vision Problems by retraining you or every member of your family’s visual system to work properly. Our Vision & Sensory Integration mission is to preserve, restore and enhance the vision of every member of your family. We are committed to giving you the most thorough eye care and personal attention using the most modern technology. We provide optometric vision therapy to correct functional vision problems in children and adults. Optometric vision therapy is the use of lenses, prisms and eye exercises and activities prescribed by a developmental optometrist.
